What We Do
We deliver high-quality, innovative products to over 50 million learners and educators across 100 countries. Our comprehensive suite of print materials, online content and Digital Learning Objects span the entire educational system from Kindergarten to Grade 12 across various subjects. Our focus on innovative products and our online learning platform York-E can adapt to serve the unique needs of every learner.
We empower students by accurately measuring their success: York Press has actively processed 3.3 billion online test items over the past three years, providing a fully online assessment and examination system with timely and accurate scoring, to the benefit of millions of students.
We are revolutionising students’ learning experience through the new pedagogical approach employed in the our educational program the International Arab Baccalaureate (IAB): The IAB is now accredited by ENIC for entry into UK universities, with recognition from leading institutions like Cambridge, Bath, and York.
- York Press’s EST examination, launched in September 2020, serves as a replacement for the SAT and is accredited for entry into both public and private Egyptian universities. It is also pursuing accreditation for entry into UK universities, with a spotless track record thanks to rigorous assessment processes and proctoring.
We support teachers through professional development with plans to assist over 30,000 teachers in 2024. Through the York-E platform, York Press empowers teachers to conduct interactive learner-centred classes, promoting a shift from traditional teacher-centric classrooms.
Our CEO
Mr. Habib Sayegh, brings a distinguished educational background and an unwavering commitment to the field of education to his CEO role. A triple graduate of the University of Cambridge, he earnt an MBA in 1994, an MA in 1990, and a BA with honours in 1987. Habib’s deep connection to education is further exemplified by his role as a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.
Education is deeply ingrained in the Sayegh family legacy. His grandfather, Habib, set the foundation by earning a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from the American University of Beirut in 1904. The legacy continued with his father, Dr. Khalil Sayegh, who created an extraordinary collection of over 700 dictionaries and encyclopaedias, along with more than 1,000 children’s literature books, including iconic works like the Ladybird and Butterfly books published by Librairie du Liban.
Mr. Sayegh’s personal and professional motto is ‘Educating Generations.’ As the leader of a group of education companies, he oversees a dedicated team of over 1,000 employees and experts in the field of education. Their collective efforts produce a range of innovative products that empowers students and educators in over 100 countries worldwide. Mr. Sayegh’s vision of shaping the future through knowledge is at the centre of York Press’s mission, positioning the company at the forefront of global educational progress.
